Eligibility: - Open to all producers, regardless of experience level. - Participants must be at least 21 years old. Submission Requirements: - Beats must be original compositions created by the producer. samples are okay. - Beats should be in MP3 or WAV format, with a maximum length of 2 minutes each. - Submit 1 beat via the designated online form for evaluation.  Beat Specifications: - Ensure high-quality audio with no clipping or distortion. - Include a mix of different styles or genres in the competition to showcase versatility. Submission Deadline: - All submissions must be received by OCTOBER 24th - Late submissions will not be an additional $5 ​ Tournament Structure: - The competition follows a single elimination format. - Producers will be paired randomly for each round. - The winner of each battle advances to the next round. Battle Format: - Each battle consists of two rounds. and a tie breaker as needed. (this may be modified to one round each) - Producers will play one beat per round. - Beats used in battles must be original and not previously submitted for evaluation. Beat Requirements for Battles: - Producers must prepare 14 beats in total for the tournament. - Each beat should be no longer than 2 minutes. - Beats should be in MP3 or WAV format and preloaded onto a drive. Judging Criteria: - Battles will be judged based on the following criteria: - Creativity and originality - Production quality and technical skills - Overall impact and crowd response - Judges' decisions are final and binding. Conduct: - Producers must adhere to a respectful and professional demeanor at all times. - Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate disqualification. Round Advancement: - The producer with the winning judgment will advance to the next round. - In case of a tie, an additional beat will be played by each producer for a tie-breaker round. Final Round: The final battle will also consist three rounds. The producer left standing in final round will be declared the winner of the competition. Prizes: - Prizes will be awarded to the top two producers. - Details of the prizes will be announced prior to the competition start date. ​ Additional Guidelines Promotion: - Producers are encouraged to promote their participation in the competition on social media. - Tag the competition's official handle, @bttrsnc and use the designated hashtags "#sonicmelee" Feedback: - Producers will receive feedback from judges after the competition. - Feedback is intended to help improve skills and encourage growth. Disqualification: - Any breach of the rules or guidelines will result in disqualification. - The competition organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant at their discretion. - By participating in the competition, producers agree to abide by all the rules, regulations, and guidelines outlined above.
